About Golden Chapter Books
Golden Chapter Books is the independent imprint created by Jen Kennedy, born from a love of storytelling and a desire to celebrate the magic found in everyday moments. With each title, Golden Chapter aims to spark imagination, nurture connection, and bring a touch of wonder to young readers and their grownups.

The name itself is a nod to a new chapter in Jen’s life—becoming a mom to a joyful little boy and sharing golden moments with her loyal Golden Retriever. It’s a tribute to those fleeting, meaningful slices of life that make a story worth telling. Each book under the Golden Chapter imprint is a true labor of love, brought to life through creative collaboration with some of Jen’s most inspiring partners.
The debut title, The Green Pumpkin, is especially close to her heart. Illustrated with heart and humor by her talented friend, Cody Brown. The Green Pumpkin arrives Summer 2025. We hope you’ll follow along as the pages of this golden chapter continue to turn.

Jen finds joy in life’s little moments; a themed birthday party, a cozy Tuesday night dinner, or any chance to add a touch of creativity to the everyday. She lives in Ohio with her husband, Greg, their son, Theo, and their beloved golden retriever, Dorothy.

The Green Pumpkin marks Jen’s debut as an author, a story she first dreamed up with her mom in the fifth grade. Years later, she’s bringing that whimsical tale new life infused with meaning, magic, and a heartfelt nod to the power of seeing things differently.

Cody is a visual storyteller who brings imagination to life-whether he's directing video shoots, snapping photos behind a camera, or sketching with his kids by his side. He lives in Ohio with his wife, Anna, and their two creative sidekicks, Luke and Lily, who are never short on ideas (or a good time).
